It occurs to me that the folks who live in your neighborhood might offer you a free service, that is, taste-testing your new creations. This would keep your loved ones from getting fat.

You also have the benefit of adding a little phrase to your recipes along the lines of: “good taste award from Ellie’s neighbors.”
